Pick this for low-cost image generation where speed matters, especially if you are already inside Google's Vertex or AI Studio ecosystem. It is the cheapest tier in its own offer set and the fastest measured one runs at 163 tokens per second. Skip it if you need measured quality scores, want to avoid proprietary lock-in, or cannot tolerate the 3.6-fold output price spread between different Google tiers.
