Our take
Written Sep 30, 2026o3 Deep Research is a hosted-only model for handing over long documents and images and getting written answers back. Nothing here measures how good those answers are, so treat it as a candidate to trial on work you can check yourself.
Use it for research-style work where you want to hand over long reports, files or screenshots and get written answers back, without splitting the material up first.
